I Think We're Alone Now

It is odd to be all of a sudden living in the pockets of another Monster, even the Most Significant Monster Of Them All. Wake up next to her, potter around making morning coffee with her, kiss her goodbye as she heads off to work. Then dinner, movies, clubs, pubs, drives, beach, shopping-- all with her. Instant spouse. Just add highly-chlorinated water.

Not that either of us is complaining, just being aware of the fact that we both need some 'alone-time'. To this end, I have already organised myself an art date with a new mate, and perhaps have joined some sort of 'feminist reading group'(actually not at all like it sounds- nobody has even mentioned Erica Jong yet) and started to work on a project or two with other people and begun making lists of fun places to go visit on my own (and how to get there)... Perth is full of excitement and adventure it seems, and I'm starting to get a feel for the place and the people. And I love the river.

It's good to have some "Zoo time". Gives you time to miss your Most Significant Monster. Or Most Significant Vampire as the case may be ;-)
