Its entirely possible that somehow I didn't blog the amazing work of Mary Coble, whose Binding Ritual, Daily Routine 2 ('a performance, which deals with the idea of being a female to male (F2M) transgender individual. The artist tapes and untapes her breast repeatedly with duct tape for over an hour'.) piece I saw at the Brooklyn Museum Elizabeth A. Sackler Feminist Art Center. She is also responsible for Note To Self, 'a twelve hour performance where the names of 438 gay, lesbian, bi and transgender individuals who were murdered due to hate crimes, were tattooed onto the artist's body using no ink.'
